RV and trailer towing. Class A to fifth-wheel.
An RV breakdown in the middle of a trip is stressful, and this metro is where the interstates cross, so a lot of RV trouble surfaces here on the way to somewhere else. I-90 and I-294 carry rigs north toward Wisconsin, I-88 runs west, and I-80 is the transcontinental route across the south edge. A Class A motorhome is a small truck and needs a heavy wrecker. Fifth-wheels require a safe disconnect before the tow. Travel trailers and bumper-pulls need trailer-capable recovery. We have the trucks and the training for all of it, plus coordination with RV service centers across the metro.

What do drivers ask about RV towing?
Can you tow my Class A motorhome?
Yes. The operators we send run heavy wreckers rated for Class A motorhomes up to 50,000 lb GVWR. For diesel pushers, the driveline disconnect is coordinated first to prevent transmission damage. Give us your year, make, and chassis when you call so we send the right rig.
What about my fifth-wheel?
Fifth-wheels need a safe disconnect from the tow vehicle before recovery, we handle that on scene. From there, the trailer goes on a landoll or lowboy for transport. If your tow vehicle is what broke down, we handle both.
How much does RV towing cost?
RV tows are quoted by class, plus mileage, before we dispatch. That quote comes to you in writing. Insurance and roadside motor clubs often cover RV tows, call your policy first.
Can you tow my RV to the service center?
Yes. We regularly deliver to RV service centers and independent shops across the city and the surrounding communities. Tell us where and we handle the drop-off and paperwork.
What if I am stuck on a tollway with a full-size rig?
An operator comes to you. Tollway shoulders on I-90 and I-294 are narrow, traffic runs at seventy, and a full-size rig in a live lane is a recovery that needs traffic control before it needs a hook. Elk Grove Village and Des Plaines both have the yard space and the access that this work needs, which is why so much of it stages there. We need pad access for a heavy wrecker, which most sites have.
