A wheel-lift truck has a metal yoke that slides under the drive wheels and lifts only that end of your vehicle off the ground, the other end rolls on its own wheels. It is faster than a flatbed and fits into tight streets and lots where a flatbed cannot.

For standard FWD or RWD sedans, yes. For AWD, 4WD, or any EV, absolutely not, call for a flatbed. The spinning driveshaft or dragging drive motors will cause expensive internal damage on any vehicle with all four wheels driven or motored. If you're unsure, we'll tell you honestly.

Usually yes. Our wheel-lift trucks are built for narrow streets, short alleys and tight courtyard entrances, the kind that fill Berwyn, Cicero and the Northwest Side bungalow belt. Text a photo of the street or entrance when you call and we will confirm access before dispatch. A few of the tightest blocks require working from the nearest cross street, and we can arrange that.

Wheel-lift tows are quoted before dispatch, based on distance. Short moves of a few miles usually sit at the low end of the range across the Chicago metro. You get the full number before we dispatch.

Yes. Many batteries are just drained, a quick jump is sometimes all you need, no tow required. If the alternator is bad or the engine won't hold a charge, we'll jump it to move it to the truck and still tow. Either way, the tow covers both labor.
